Man From Irvine Arrested For Stabbing His Anaheim Roommates

The other day in Anaheim, two people died of what seemed like a case of stabbing in a flat around Angel Stadium. One more man was found from the apartment in an injured state and requiring medical care. Later, local authorities identified the injured person as Ramy Fahim from Irvine before his arrest as a murder suspect.

As per Anaheim PD Sergeant Shane Carringer, the incident happened on April 19, 2022, as officers reacted to calls over a potential assault at the building along East Katella Avenue. Officers found all the victims in the flat and later identified them as Anaheim residents Jonathan Bahm and Griffin Cuomo.

Fahim was in the flat with minor injuries of an unspecified nature. Homicide detectives interviewed Fahim after he was moved to a local medical center for treatment. Then, the detectives placed Fahim under arrest as a murder suspect in this double homicide case.

The detectives found a knife from the crime scene and believe that Fahim has used it as a weapon for the slayings. The car of Fahim was also found from a nearby location and the officers seized it.

Carringer added that the victims were living in that apartment at the time of the incident.

Carringer refused to reveal a reason for the slayings but said that Cuomo and Fahim worked together at a company. Carringer found it a bit surprising that this form of an incident would happen in the flat. At the same time, he does not find it a random case of violence.

As per Cuomo’s LinkedIn profile, he also worked for a Newport Beach-based financial company known as Pence Wealth Management. A Pence Wealth Management representative declined a request for comment.

Carringer stated that this apartment building has not only surveillance cameras but also doorbell cameras for some residents. As per reports, the camera of a neighbor captured Fahim there a while before the fatal incident.

Carringer stated that police would piece a new timeline of this incident together with that piece of video evidence. As for Carringer, Fahim’s face is quite clear in the video from the camera. He added that Fahim got booked at a prison in Anaheim with no bail until he appears in front of the court.
