Man Who Attacked Woman In Anaheim Faces 14-Year Imprisonment

Daniel Earl Pendlebury had pleaded guilty before he got a 14-year imprisonment sentence for forcibly entering the residence of an Anaheim woman and making a physical attack on her. About the horrific incident dating back to 2018, Pendlebury accepted that he acted with the intention to commit an assault, burglary and sex offense forcibly that was likely to create considerable bodily injuries.

Law enforcement has been keeping the man in federal custody since February 18, 2018, and all his custodial credits were waived as part of the plea agreement from Judge Scott A. Steiner of OC Superior Court.

As per court records, prosecutors did not agree with the sentence that the man got from the court in this case.

Law enforcement went to a residence in Anaheim city on February 18, 2018, as a burglar forcibly entered the building and then attacked a woman as she was asleep. The woman stated that she awoke to the instance of somebody touching her body from behind before she attempted to cry loudly for help. Police stated that the man closed her mouth with one hand while choking her with the other hand.

He eventually let the woman go following a struggle for two minutes and left as her daughter entered the area and contacted the police.

Pendlebury claimed that he was only responding to an advertisement on Craigslist about rape fetish. However, police testified that Pendlebury was not able to offer anything to prove his claim.
