The early hours of Sunday morning saw a rider fatally struck in an accident with a semi truck on 91 Freeway.
The accident happened at about 4:25 a.m., on the westbound side of the freeway close to Lakeview avenue.
The reasons as to why the two motorists collided are still under investigation.
According to medical personnel, the motorist died due to their injuries, but it is still unclear whether they made it to the hospital or perished on the scene.
Emergency crews cordoned off the area briefly while carrying out cleanup and preliminary duties.
