On November 29, 2022, in Anaheim, CA, Rick Dale Moore was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Magnolia Street early on Saturday. Police claim that 30-year-old Moore was struck by a fast car on Katella Avenue when he was crossing Magnolia Street southbound in a designated crosswalk. After the collision, the driver fled the site without offering assistance or calling the police. Shortly after arriving, medical staff declared Moore, 30, dead on the scene.
The suspect car was later characterized by police as an older, dark-colored car, likely a Chevrolet. Emergency personnel briefly shut off the neighborhood while performing clean-up and preparatory work before reopening it to the public. Police are currently asking for any assistance from the public to find the suspect. The broken hearts and anguish felt at this delicate time cannot be repaired by words.
