California’s Disneyland Resort would open its doors again to people from April 30, 2021, said the Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, Bob Chapek.

Amusement parks in the state can open again after April 01, 2021, because Orange County is in California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy’s ‘red tier’. Orange County entered the tier some days back, which allows it to reopen stadiums and amusement parks at limited capacities.

Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Resort can open again with around 5000 and 12,700 guests, respectively. That would amount to about 15% of their maximum capacities.

On March 09, the Disney CEO said that the amusement parks would call back 10,000 cast members, and would start to train the workers for their reopening process.

He said that those cast members could not wait to return to work at Disney, and that it would be useful to Anaheim’s community. The community of Anaheim turns to Disneyland for the employment positions and business that visitors create.

A representative of the company said that it would announce more details for ticket selling and reservations.

According to California’s regulations in this regard, amusement parks may open again to the natives when it enters the so-called red tier. Anyhow, those venues could expand capacity in the event of Orange County entering the yellow tier or orange tier.
